Bereavement Ministry

Bereavement Ministry

This ministry is designed to provide support for the bereaved family following the funeral or memorial service by helping to provide refreshments for the family and those attending the services. Being part of this ministry provides you the opportunity to serve, bless and comfort the bereaved. The six teams of four persons each rotate, thus the amount of time and involvement is flexible.

Usher/Greeter Ministry

Ushers welcome members and guests into the sanctuary with a smile as they pas out the bulletin, take offerings, and assist in any way necessary during the service with communion or prayer needs. Ushers generally serve regularly each Sunday for one service and for special events.

Greeters prepare the hearts of members and guests for the worship by welcoming everyone with a smile and a warm handshake. Greeters arrive at their post 20 minutes before and return for 10 minutes after a service. Greeters generally serve every other month for one service and for special events. Couples and singles are needed.

Information Center Hosts welcome and provide guests and members with directions and information to classrooms and activities. Volunteers will stay at the center before, during, and after one service every other month to welcome late comers and monitor the hallway.
