Truth Project

The Truth Project has continued to meet in 43 different home groups, with over 600 people attending!  What a blessing and challenge it has been.  In the coming weeks, we will look at:

Senior Adult Ministry

Hobo Dinner

Friday, April 16, 2010. Cost is $5.00 per person. In B101-102 at 6:00 p.m. Join us for a Hobo Dinner, riotous games, and a costume contest. Dress in hobo clothes or your garden grubbies! Fellowship----Fun----Laughter.

Children's Worship Bags

Worship bags with an activity sheet and bendable toy are now available for 4 and 5 year old's. You may pick one up under the West side nursery counter. Please return the bag and bendable toy after the service. Thank you.

Thursday Mornings at 9:45. Stories, crafts, snacks and lots of fun!

Ministry Opportunity

Once again it is time for us to glorify God in the celebration of Jesus' Resurection with residents of two nursing homes. We will be going to "The Lakes" assisted living and then to "Mira Villa Care Center". Tim Cowell will tell the Resurrection story and we will be sharing Easter Songs. This opportunity is available to all ages. We will meet at the church by the gym on March 27th at 8:45 a.m. We will car pool from there. We are praying that many children will come join us and help us distribute candy and talk with the residents after the program is over. Food Pantry

The Food Pantry at FITP serves between 300 and 400 people a month. With that in mind, we are continually looking for "deals" on the food we purchase for these folks. If you know of any food banks, stores, etc. that would be willing to work with us in providing food for our pantry at a reduced cost, and folks that would be willing to help deliver the bulk food to the Pantry, please contact Sandy Freels at the church office Monday thru Friday, 8 - 11:30 a.m.

Grief Share - 2010

January 5 thru April 6 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in W106.

Grief Share is a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are grieving the death of someone close to them. The sessions are: (1) Living with Grief; (2) The Journey of Grief; (3) The Effects of Grace; (4) When Your Spouse Dies; (5) Your Family and Grief; (6) Why?; (7) The Uniqueness of Grief, Pt. 1; (8) The Uniqueness of Grief, Pt 2; (9) God's Prescription for Grief; (10) Stuck in Grief; (11) Top 20 Lessons of Grief, Pt. 1; (12) Top 20 Lessons of Grief, Pt. 2; (13) Heaven.

The Entrance

Fridays, 6 to 10p.m. The entrance to the new building will be open with coffee available. If you would like to be a host on a Friday night, please contact Pastor Rick or Pastor Rob. We would like to make board games available. If you have a game you would like to donate for the Entrance, please bring it to the church office.
